History

Bradford City become the second club from Level 4 of the English league to reach the League Cup Final since 1962 and the first Level 4 club to reach a major final at Wembley.

Swansea City become the first Welsh club to win the League Cup. Their 5 - 0 victory is a record score in a League Cup Final. A Welsh club reaches the League Cup Final for the second year running.

Manchester United win their 20th League Championship after leading all season.

Chelsea win their second consecutive European final becoming the fourth club to have played in all three European finals. Their Europa League win makes them the first club from England to have won all three European trophies.

Wigan Athletic win the FA Cup, their first trophy in their 81 year history. A few days later they lost a league match at Arsenal 4 - 1. These results made them the first club to win the FA Cup and be relegated in the same season.
