History

Newcastle United win the League Cup for the first time, their first trophy for 56 years.

Liverpool win a record equaling 20th Championship after leading all season.

For the second consecutive season and only the third time in the top division, the three promoted clubs are relegated.

Manchester City reach their third consecutive FA Cup Final.

Crystal Palace win the FA Cup, their first ever trophy.

This is the first time that five clubs from England have won a major trophy in the same season.

History (Europe)

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur become the lowest placed League clubs to reach a European final (Europa League). This is the sixth European final between two clubs from England. Tottenham Hotspur win their fourth European trophy.

Chelsea win the Conference League. They have also won the other two European trophies (Champions' League and Europa League) becoming the first club from England to have won the three current European trophies. Since they had also won the now discontinued Cup Winners' Cup, they are the first English club to have won four major European trophies.

Paris Saint Germain become the eleventh club to win their national League, their national Cup and the Champions' League in the same season. Their win by five goals in the Champion's league final is a record.
