History

On the final day of the season three clubs were in a position to win the League. The top three all won. Portsmouth became the second club to win the Championship by goal average.

Fulham make their top division debut.

Arsenal won the FA Cup without playing outside London. They had home draws in the early rounds and won the games without need of a replay. The semi-final and its replay (against London club Chelsea) were also in London. Arsenal would repeat this feat in 2014
