FA Cup Final  Arsenal 2 Huddersfield Town 0

History

Everton were relegated for the first time, two seasons after winning the Championship. They had spent 38 seasons in the Top Division. This left only two founder members of the League that had never been relegated (Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers).

Leicester City drew 6 - 6 with Arsenal in the League, a record for a drawn game in the Top Division.

The FA Cup final was between Huddersfield Town (the club that had dominated the 1920s) and Arsenal (the club that would dominate the 1930s). Since Arsenal's manager was originally with Huddersfield Town, the two teams came out together at Wembley for the first time. Arsenal's win gained them their first trophy.
